Fast food nation

The PNAS (Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences) publishes an interesting article today about the fast food industry in the USA. The article is Open Access, meaning that one doesn't have to have a subscription to the journal to access it. Take a look here.

Did you know that you can distinguish between an American and people form other countries based on their carbon isotope content? I kid you not!

Well, that's good news for forensic anthropologists of the future!

And don't worry, this paper was under the environmental sciences heading. I know for a fact that I miss all the juicy stuff under biochemistry ;)
