Við í strandvillunni við Cayuga-vatn will be hosting a housewarming-defense celebration potluck garden party this coming Saturday, September 11th (vona við verðum ekki rekin úr landi), at 4 pm.
Who are we? Basant, our Indian motorcycle buff, who defended his Ph.D. thesis in theoretical and applied mechanics on Wednesday and thinks a Cayuga lake holiday resort is a better name for our house, Annalisa, our Italian biologist who thinks Americans work too hard and deserve more parties than they throw, and Herdis, yours truly from Iceland, who is still getting used to the sight of sooooooooo many trees outside her living room window (more than all the trees in Iceland combined??).
Where do we live? As said: í strandvillunni við Cayuga-vatn. No parking is possible at the house and is somewhat limited at the marina, so try to carpool.
What should you bring? Ok, so there is a grill in the backyard, feel free to bring any grillables you'd like. We will provide some salads and snacks, plus some beverages. However, more of practically anything can't hurt.
Unexpected bonuses: We live on the lake and if you're in the mood for a swim you're welcome to dip in. Just bring your swimsuits and a towel!
